FLY FISHING EDUCATION AND LESSONS

PRIVATE LESSONS TO LARGE CLINICS

Our private lessons are conducted at our shop, ReelFly Fishing Adventures, in the little town of Sattler just minutes from Canyon Lake and the Guadalupe River. We have a large casting lawn, with targets, that is perfect for practicing those tight quarters shots or trying to put your double haul to the test by sending it over 100'. We will tailor our lessons to the individuals experience and are happy to accommodate on the water instruction as well when appropriate. With our team of experienced guides and industry professionals we are happy to schedule small group lessons but please call for availability.

Another option we offer are our Hosted Fly Fishing Clinics. If your looking to get into the sport and want to get a complete rod and reel setup while also attending a half day of instruction then our Fly Fishing Clinics could be the perfect fit. One is an introductory course that is centered around fall trout fishing and includes knot tying, entomology, casting instruction and on the water experience. Another, our winter clinic, is in the middle of our trout season and is typically geared toward the intermediate to advanced fly fisher. Finally, along with Real Ale Brewing Company, we host a summer time Bass 'N Brews fly fishing course at Real Ale's Brewery. These events make excellent gifts and provide a great experience for those just getting into fly fishing or those looking to further their knowledge. Take a look at our calendar of events to see when you next one is scheduled!

Finally, selling equipment and ushering you on your way is not how we do things around here. As always at ReelFly, when you purchase any rod and reel combo from either one of our locations, we will take the time to make sure you are familiar with your gear, how it all goes together to actually catch fish, and will provide an abbreviated introductory course for you at no additional cost!
